Cancelling Tiscali

I have been hanging on the phone all morning, without speaking to a human, and don't even know if I was trying the wrong number!

I am a Tiscali DUN customer and want to cancel.

Would be glad to hear from anyone who has cancelled sucessfully and how they did it.

If you are a dialup customer you ring 0870 744 9966 to cancel.

Remember that Tiscali charges in arrears, so you will have to pay for your final period as usual before cancelling any direct debit or standing order.

This is one of the problems -I am not sure, from the bill, when the "months" start and end.

Leave it till tomorrow/wednesday, remember that monday is the day that everyone calls everywhere to complain about what happened/didn't happen yesterday, so the phones ring off the hook and even the best companies can find it hard to deal with effectivly.

Make sure that you cancel your Tiscali direct debit, as they have been debiting my account for the past 15 months. I finished with Tiscali in May 2005 and checked my outgoing payments from my bank this month, and I saw Tiscali was still taking payments from my account.

I'm surprised it's taken you so long to discover that fact.

I use to be with Tiscali and its billing system has always been accurate - in fact if I'd done an upgrade/downgrade, the follow up billing charge reflected the shorter or longer period involved to the end of that month.
