Morning folks.
I sent someone an email yesterday from my hushmail account(which doesn't include my name) and in the reply the sender called me by my first name.Does anyone know how this was done?I asked but he wouldn't say how he knew.My computer is under my name but how could he have got that information? Thanks.

a guess maybe or he looked you up on the electoral roll.

That's impossible. All he had was my hushmail email address from 1 email I sent him.

Thanks.Yeah I'm thinking it must be something like that. It's just annoying me hw he got it as it's no one I know.Do you know how to find out that kind of info from an email header?

  rdave13 12:28 11 Nov 2009

I'm not sure how this link will show but found the sender's addy from a header info; click here

The link worked fine.I'm not sure how to find the email header in hushmail,it's meant to be secure mail.I can't get my head around how he got my name though? The only thing my name is on is under "computer name" It's making me even more sceptical that he wont tell me how he knew.

Could your husband have mentioned your name in a past email/conversation with this person perhaps?

"I asked but he wouldn't say how he knew." - now that is downright creepy from where I'm standing. G
