Is it possible to transfer the saved progress in games onto another pc ?

I have transfered a hard drive into another pc and tried to play the games from the original hard drive but it won't play !

When you install a game it puts certain information into that PC's registry. If, as you say, you then remove the HDD that the game is installed on into another PC the game won't work cos that PC does not have the registry information from the original install.

You have to install the game from scratch onto the other PC for the game to work. Once you have done this you can then transfer saved games over from one PC to the other, as long as they go into the correct "saved games" folder.

Will have a save game directory and save game files. Theoretically if you copy the save game files to another computer that has the same game/version installed then it should theoretically work.

yes, you can - just copy the save file over. You'll probably need to reset all your preferences, though.
