Can you point me in the right direction for a good

My monitor is an LG 915ft Flatron its huge and very close, its also a good heat source in cool weather. Can anyone give me their experience of a 17 inch LCD or suggest a site which gives comparisons, I would idealy like one with a few USB ports at the back, although I could get over this with a hub. my main interest is fiddling with my digital photos as a hobby. Thanks Prof

My experience is with a viewsonic TFT which I have had no problems or issues with over the past 4 months. The VP181b has USB ports on the underside of the unit the 17inch may be similar. They now have a new range now but expect they are still similar or improved. Perhaps check out the PCA reviews for grouptests,

Agree with the comments regarding Viewsonic (VE175b in my case). Extremely happy with it after 2 months use replacing a heavy and over large CRT monitor.

Thanks for your help everyone, I have a lot of sorting out to do What are your experiences with Photo editing on LCDs and are you worried about the backlight life or have I misunderstood this? Prof.
