Can you have network access to a prog. ie iTunes?

On my PC upstairs I have iTunes with nearly 4000 tracks. I have networked the Pc with my laptop using a netgear DG834GT wireless/modem/router.I can happily access folders and files between the two machines. Is it possible to access iTunes from my laptop? I cannot be bothered to reload it on the laptop! I know that you can get an ipod "airport" or whatever it is called to transmit, to stereos etc, but i don't want to buy more hardware and just wondered if i could have itunes music whilst on my laptop.

You could just navigate to the folder your songs are stored in on the upstairs pc and click on the songs you want to play, media player should fire up on your laptop and stream the music from the desktop pc to the laptop.
