Can the same emails come back to your Inbox

again next time you go online to recieve emails even though they have been deleted.

What I am trying to say is; if you go inot Ie6/outlook express v6 in XP and retrieve your mail from a dial up isp (BT) then zap away the mails you don't want go back online later and the same mails usually spam all come back again.

Can a virus do this ?

It would have to be on the BT server but i think more likly u just downloading headers and leaving the mail on there, just a thought.

It may depend on your OE setting, and your ISP's policy.

In OE, click Tools, Accounts, Mail tab, highlight the account, click Properties, Advanced tab. At the bottom, there are different options for how you want the email to be kept on or deleted from the server, after you've downloaded it from the server.

In your case, it's probably to do with OE settings.

If OE is set to delete message from Server after download, and when you go to web mail, the message is still there, it may just be because the server needs time to update itself, but not sure.

otherwise, if you just access your email from your ISP's web mail option, after you delete an email from web mail (which is not the case here), it may just go into the Trash can with some ISPs, and you have to delete the email from the Trash can (if there's one). Usually what's in the Trash can still counts towards your storage.
