Can I transfer image to another PC?

If I was to transfer an image taken on one PC to another PC, wouldn't the OS from the first PC be duplicated. Assuming the second PC has the same if not larger HDD, just curious. TR

Your question is a little vague, can you explain in more detail what you want,to achieve

You can,but if the OS is XP,then it wont recognise the rest of the hardware(different hash number) so would mutter about wanting reactivated on new pc.This is breaching the terms of the EULA.

Yes I know that I can use True Image to restore my present system but if I wanted to transfer the image to another PC wouldn't there be a conflict of OS'. As the OS would be from the first machine. Have I explained it any better? TR

Thanks that's cleared it up. TR

As i understand it the image from PC 1 will over write any and all data on PC 2. Therefore there will be no conflict of OS as only the one in the image will exist.

But there will be a conflict because the same OS will be on two different computers. TR

has just said, but you will have software etc etc on the PC 2 that will not be compatible etc etc.

Also you would have broken the terms of the O/S agreement as it is illegal to use that image on another machine.

ie 2 machines 1 License
