can i put a timer on pc to switch of at midnight?

I have an 18 year old who stays up all night chatting online, is there anyway i can set my pc to turn of at a given time/

This utility is free as far as I can and it can be set to switch off the pc at any time and you can set a password so the time cannot be altered. The only thing is if the pc is switched on again I,m not sure if that will void the automatic switch off you would need to set a password to access the computer at boot up.

Or if you were using a router, you could set it to not allow internet access between Midnight and, say, 8am.
