can i load windows 7 RC and vista side by side on

  alpalok 04:53 13 May 2009

I have a question. I have vista ultimate loaded on my c drive. I would like to load win 7 RC 1 on another partition without losing my vista ultimate and all my other applications which are also loaded on my c drive. Can I do that ? or to load win 7 do I have lose vista ? Now if I can load win 7 on another partiton when I boot up my PC it should not happen that win 7 becomes the default os. I want to have the facility to choose which os to load when i start up my pc. How do I do that ?
Pl help me !

No problem in loading Windows 7 on another partition. A boot menu giving you the option to load previous Windows operating system will come up at start up. Windows 7 is the default but this can be changed making Vista the default.

You can load your win7 on another partition without destroying your windows vista or other data which is in your C partition. But, the programs you installed in your vista will not work normally in your win7. So you need to re-install them in another partition beside C:\.
