Can I freeze pane a whole sheet in Excel?

  Willow12 00:38 21 Jan 2006

I have an active excel spreadsheet for detailing my month by month poker ups and downs! ;)

In general terms I use a sheet for each month (11 sheets so far) but have a "notes" sheet as the first sheet for various reasons. Is there a way of "freezing" this sheet so that is does not disappear off of the left hand side of the screen when I am working on the current month. Just a way to save my having to kick all the way back to the beginning of the book when I jump between the two?

Quite a trivial matter I know but I would appreciate it if somebody could inform me if this is possible.

If you right click in the arrows, bottom left you will get a pop up list of the sheets like click here

Does this help?

You can also "drag" the tab for the first "notes" sheet to move it next to the sheet that you are currently using.

You can use Window|New Window then use the Window menu to swap between them - one window looking at one sheet and the other window a different sheet.
