Can I delete these

Looking at Control Panel/Add Remove programs, I see some programs listed that do not appear when I do Start/Programs/All. This is part of the list:
6 items all Java(TM) 6 Update followed by a number - 2,3,4,5,7 & 15

4 items Microsoft .NET followed by:

Re Java, you can delete all but the most recent. In your case 15. Although I think the latest update is v 18

Not sure about .NET.....suggest you leave them alone.

Silverlight should update itself via Windows Update

As dogtrack says, I would not delete the .NET items.

If you're using Microsoft SQL Server, then don't delete its updates either.

Also leave Silverlight as it is.

Are you doing this to try to free up some space? If yes, what OS are you using & is it a desktop/laptop? G

You should also be able to remove Microsoft Silverlight but they will try and get you to download it again.
I think the latest java update is 6 volume 18 if so you can remove the rest and download the latest version.

How could I? Not on Start/Programs/All.
I'm just tidying up - plenty of space on desktop using XP SP3. I don't like stuff lying around that I am not aware of installing and don't appear to use.
