can connect wi-fi on one laptop but not another!

Have two laptops were using at a hotel we are staying at. Both laptops detect the network but only mine comes up with the dialogue box for the password whereas the other doesn't. I can log on ok but we've tried everything on the other. Only clue is something about the other laptop not being able to do access WPA networks. Are we barking up the wrong tree?

Any suggestions?

Thanks

WPA is the more secure encryption for wireless networks. Not all hardware supports that protocol (particularly if it's an older laptop).

You need to find out if the hardware is compatible or not.
