Can anyone recommend CD/DVD Burning Software

Greetings Forum Members

I have recently decided to stop using and uninstall Pinnacle's Instant CD/DVD (version 7),as it was very unstable and kept making my PC crash, (simply by right clicking on either my C drive or D drive).
I thought about buying Nero 6 instead or Roxio, but I have seen mixed reviews by people.
Which CD/DVD burning software is relatively reliable for WinXP?
I am running AMD 3000+, Win XP, 512MB RAM,
and Nvidia FX5600.
Thanking you all in advance

I've always used Roxio, and currently run v6 under Windows XP Home Edition. No complaints.

I used Nero, Roxio, Sonic Record Now on XP and 2K, I find absloutely no difference in term of "stability", DVDs (data) produced by them can be read in any dvd-rom I have access.

Finally only installed Sonic Record Now because it comes with my DVD driver.

For another PC, download Nero when I ever need to burn a disk (possibly once a month).

If I do properly data backup, I always make two copies, each produce by different burning software. Two disks are different brands and one in + and one in -. I think this gives me the best protection. I also have 3rd backup on an external HDD. In my opion, the backup need to be down properly. Badly performed backup only give false security.
