AVG Free 2015 has given me a headache. Updates have stopped and it will not let me manually update. I need to un-install so that I can re-install. Can anyone advise please?

To make sure you uninstall AVG completely I suggest you use Revo-uninstaller from click here Make sure you download the freeware version and not the pro, which you must pay for. Revo will uninstall all of the links to AVG from your PC if you follow the instructions.

Once revo has uninstalled AVG you can then reinstall it on your PC I use file hippo as my source of downloads click here as they are a trustworthy website.

Sorry the link to revo seems not to work. If you google revouninstaller you will be taken to their website. Then select downloads form the list across the top.

Many thanks to fruit bat, I did try to get a removal tool from AVG prior to this question but to no avail. However the link that fruit bat gave me did the trick, although there were quite a few restarts to eliminate it completely. Many thank for the suggestions.
