Camera Battery Voltage

  Bebee 12:23 04 May 2003

I want to get a spare Li-ion battery for a digital camera. Internet Cameras Direct do a Hahnel battery which says it is suitable (for Kyocera Finecam). It is, however, rated at 3.7 volts, whereas the Koyocera battery is labelled 3.6 volts. ICD 'believe' it is suitable.

I can get a Kyocera battery for nearly £40. The Hahnel is £24.

Does anyone know if the voltage difference would cause a problem or damage?

I would doubt if 0.1 volt difference would cause any problems. I suspect that you would get that level of variation from your recharger depending on where you are using it.
Check out click here for good prices. As they are in Guernsey there is no VAT.:-)

Thanks Bagsey. That seems sensible. Thanks for the link aswell. They don't have the right battery, but plenty of other well priced goodies I might need. Added to my favourites.
