Cables to connect dvd/vcr that need scart plugs

  lilythepink 22:41 27 Mar 2005

I bought a widescreen tft television last month, and I am very pleased with it, except it has not got any scart sockets on it. It has a range of coloured sockets, but none that are scart.

It is a relysis tv

Looks like you will need a Scart to RCA plug cable, Red, Yellow and White plugs.

I got mine from Maplins, if that is of any use?

As the others have said, you need a rca to scart adapter. The sockets are colour coded, yellow is video, white and red are audio left and right.

Buy the best quaility you can afford (go for the gold connectors, these give better qualility)

For some illustrated examples of various adaptors check out the SCART TO..... on this website for some guidance on what you need. You don't have to purchase them from here. They will most likely be available locally but you will probably pay double or treble the price at some well known high street stores. click here
