C Drive Failure

I have a computer that was running Windows 2000, the hard disk has failed completely, when set as a slave drive on another machine the drive is recognised as a 20Gb drive so there is not a mechanical or electronic failure, i presume a 'software' one.

I have used Bad Data software very successfully to recover lost data on Flash and Floppy Media, can anyone reccomened a package for data retrieval on a hard drive?

Any tips / ideas welcomed.

click here sorry about the link for Handy Recovery the second one should be OK and this one should get you Restoration,I have tried both of these with some success, good luck.

Cheers for the link rawprawn, thoug have managed to rescue the data without resorting to other software, noted for future use though!
