can any one tell me about cougar extreme?.i have been looking for a new gaming pc for the last few months.

i've been looking online for a good company to buy off, i was going to buy off mesh or eclipse but they have had some bad comments in the forums lately.
i'm looking at cougar's Gamers Intel Core 2 Duo 8800 customised to £750-
Intel Core 2 Duo E6550
2GB Kingston DDR2 667
BFG 8800GT 512Mb oc
Gigabyte GA-G33M-DS2R motherboard

Not quite sure whether to go for 2GB Kingston DDR2 667 or 2Gb Corsair Memory DDR2 800,will it make that much difference for gaming? thanks

i have finally taken the plunge after reading some good feed back from different forums on cougar extreme.
these are the specs i have gone for-

Core 2 Duo E6550
kingston DDR2 667, 2 x 1GB,
400GB SATA Hard Drive,
Gigabyte Triton Black Midi Case,
Atrix 650Watt Transparent,
BFG 8800GT 512Mb OC graphics card
Gigabyte GA-G33M-DS2R motherboard,
19 Inch (DVI) AMW TFT widescreen X1910WDS,
Vista Home Premium

Came in just on budget of £750, did not get any speakers as I'm using them off my old mesh system.

I went for the 667 mhz ram after some research, my understanding is that it will work well with the CPU (1333 mhz).I'll keep you posted how well everything works when i get my new PC.

the best combination is fsb of the cpu to be the same as the speed of the ram for instance 1333fsb cpu + 1333 speed ram but your set up will be perfectly ok.

thanks citadel,i think i understand. i'm a bit worried about the kingston brand, would i be better with 2 x 1 GB corsair 800 mhz ram. i don't think I'll be overclocking in the future.

  citadel 22:36 27 Nov 2007

kingston is a well known brand and will be ok. the most important bit is that 8800gt.

yeah, been waiting for the 8800 gt to come out for a while now, been playing games for far to long on my old nevidia geforce 3 ti 200, great card when i bought it, thanks again citadel.
