Burning Music to CD

My daughter has asked me to burn some music tracks to CD. I have Roxio Easy CD Creator version 5 and propose to use that.

Having never burnt a CD before, do I have to format the disk first (like a floppy) or do I just shove a new CD-R (or CD-RW) in the CD-R drive and get on with it?

First I recomend Real One which allows you to do it step by step. Second, just shove the disc in the drive as long as you have saved the tracks on hard drive so you can burn. click here for real one free download; includes choice for all systems.

i think that your CD creator should have a burning wizard that will guide you through the process step by step. Otherwise i would use Real One.

make sure that when you do burn to disc, that you burn it as a audio file and not as a data file,it should give you the option of what type of disc yo want to burn

Thanks for your advice. Job done!

I used Real Player, as suggested.

Easy when you know how. :-)

I know problem solved, you could also try win media player which you should have, but i think only latest versions burn though.
