Hi, I'm curious to know whether I can burn a DVD-r disk in NTSC format (canada) using my DVD writer. If I can, do I need NTSC disks, and is there anywhere I can buy them? Cheers.

You can use any disc you want - it's the video format that changes. However PAL to NTSC conversion can be a bit tricky as they use different frame rates and frame sizes. In your DVD burning program (such as NeroVision), look in the options and change the video mode to NTSC and burn. You might get a warning asking you if you want to convert, if this happens just press Yes.

ah sorry, maybe I wasn't clear. It's not DVDs in DVD format that I want to burn, it's data (.avi Scrubs files, to be honest). Does this change anything?
