Bullguard versus Kaspersky 2009 (or anything else)

  ford_transit 22:02 14 May 2009

Some help, please. I have a Medion/Aldi desktop which came with Bullguard on free trial. Trial period nearly up.
Should I stick with Bullguard or go for Kaspersky Internet Security 2009? Or is there anything better? Don't mind paying a reasonable price.
I guess the other option is to go for free progs,
I've used AVG + Zonealarm + Spybot or Adaware(?) on other machines, but I rather fancy an all-in-one protector rather than three separate ones.
All help gratefully received.
Best wishes to all.

I quite like McAfee and I never thought that I would be saying this but Norton 360v3 is not at all bad.

Thanks, Strawballs.
I'd heard (in the past) various negative comments about Norton so hadn't thought of that one.

Whatever you choose I would still run Spybot and AdAware, no internet security package picks up everything. I have run with AVG internet security for the last 3 years, easy to use and one of the best if you read the reviews. I,m not a fan of Bullguard, a couple of PC,s I have worked on recently have had it, probably ok but just did not seem as user friendly as AVG.

Good luck!

Nod 32[esset] is the best if you don't mind paying.

If you are a customer of Barclays Bank I believe you still get Kaspersky free.

Best free security suite - Comodo Internet Security.

Best paid - Eset Security Suite.

As above always add on a couple of good general anti-malware packages - I use Spybot S&D and Malwarebytes.

I like Bullguard, if you are happy with it and everything is running fine why change.

If you do decide to stick with Bullguard don't be tempted to pay their price for renewal.

Simply buy a new copy from somewhere like Amazon for less than £10 and use the product key, no need to install the programme.

I always do that and it works fine.

I run Kaspersky free from Barclays Online Banking, I am very happy with itand it compares well with all other security suites. I liked ESET when I had NOD32 AV but I had trouble with the Security Suite.

On my hand, Kaspersky will be my recommendation, because it`s the best security suit I've ever used.
