BT modem - connecting USR8200 router

I have just got a US Robotics USR808200 and I am trying to connect to the internet via a BT Voyager 200 modem. My previous D-Link DI-614+ connects so easily via its wizard. I can even hang the USR808200 off the back of the D-Link and I can connect to the internet via all three boxes. On both routers, I have cloned my main PC MAC. My LAN works OK. It is only the internet connection that is a problem.

There seems to be some conflict in IP addresses with the USR8200 System Log reporting "daemon.warn Declining IP address offered by DHCP server due to conflicts with existing connections." This is repeated for xxx = 2 to 254.

Going to the USR8200 Configuration Panel --> Network Connections --> Lan Ethernet --> Settings, I can change the 3rd number of the IP address from 1 to 2 in 3 locations (following the USR FAQ). Then I can access the internet via the BT modem, but I cannot ping my PCs and they cannot see each other (I released and renewed their IP addresses with ipconfig, of course).

Any ideas?

OK, I have fixed it (in case anyone is interested). I needed to reconfigure the BT Voyager 200, but as it was not visible via the USR8200, I had to connect it directly to a PC. On the Configuration Menu (IP and DHCP), I reset the IP address from to I applied this, and it took a while to recover. Then I connected the USR8200 between the BT modem and the PC again. It worked - straight from the manufacturer's defaults! The only adjustment I have made since is the date.

The Voyager is no longer accessible at click here because this remains at So I have changed my link to

So, it seems to me that there was an IP conflict that I did not have with my D-Link 614+. I guess that was and the USR8200 was - the same as the default for the BT Voyager.
