Bt hub have firewall?

I use a BT Homehub for my wireless broadband and all is well.

I also use Zone alarm as my firewall, my question is, is it true there is a firewall in the home hub and if so, do I need my ZA

Two schools of the thought on this: It does have a firewall so strictly speaking you can dump Zone Alarm. I tend to the other school which would retain Zone Alarm because it regulates your outbound traffic too. The performance impact is trivial, especially given the advantages.

Yes it has a firewall, sometimes refered to as a hardware firewall.
It will not conflict with any software firewall you care to use.

So personally I use both hardware and software firewalls.
