BT Home Hub and encryption

  ZootHornRollo 22:42 23 Dec 2006

I have just got this new wireless hub from BT Fusion and whilst it works fine on PC and laptop I am concerned at people 'stealing' my facility. I have heard that encrypting the hub is the way to do this and yet I can find no way of doing this or any reference to it in the BT manual.

How do I go about it?

Just got one for the father,
The home hub comes encrypted.

As I understand it, you have to select the encryption type via the hub's configuration interface before you can use it. The hubs have an encryption key printed on one of the labels, but you have to activate the encryption before it will work - otherwise, how is ZootHornRollo already able to connect to the router via both his laptop and his PC?
