hi, my friends email and internet stopped working so i brought the pc round to my house, connected to my broadband where it works fine on 8MB connection.
took it back to his house where he cannot get internet so i did a "hard reset" on his BT Home Hub where it connects but only at 1MB (should be an 8MB downstream).
He's phoned BT who confirmed that the line is only running at 1MB but should be between 6 > 8MB aand was told to leave it for a week to see if it speeds up.
Question is, is this a line problem or a problem with his Hub, firmware version on hub is 6.2.6E.
Any ideas, thanks in advance.
The answer could be in your post he phoned bt and they confirmed the line was only running at 1 meg
if the problem persists after the one week period get back on the phone to bt
