  nar 23:42 22 Dec 2005

Playing Warhammer Dawn of war (winter Ed) and ive started getting the dreaded BSoD. Never happened before and now had two in space of an hour. This is trhe code its leaving me.

BCCode : 1000008e BCP1 : C0000005 BCP2 : BFC93618 BCP3 : B59BE9E4
BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 768_1

Is this the right code or is there another place i can get the full dump file.

Ive updated my Video driver and it has happened again. My pc is running at under 35C.

This Is What I would Check, Heat on CPU. also Bsod are can be created by conflicts in memory address

Agreed - seen these before during gaming. Faulty RAM was the answer on both occasions.

Memtest - click here

What programme can i use to check to temp whilst playing a game???

Just run mem test to 100% and no errors found. How long is best to run it for?

Ive played dawn of war for ages before and it hasnt ever BSoded or on half life 2, farcry.

thanx for the quick response

conflicts in memory address Does not mean bad Memory. It could be Software trying to use Memory Address allocated to another service or program

I would Try stopping all Background Programs Running that do not need to Start at Boot first to see how it goes. Use Msconfig in the Run box then go to startup tab, things with a tick start at boot

ok ive gone into said programme and stopped all the startups. i did install office last week and that was on the start up so i wonder if thats the conflict. Will let you know how this goes.

Thanx again

used the msconfig got rid of all the startup progs and now works a treat
