I have had this PC almost three years with no problems,thank God. My daughter used it today for 30 minutes,called me in and the dreaded bluescreen was there. I have read through lots of threads and the concensus appears to be a driver problem. XP Pro. Any ideas? I am on her laptop now

its the informal name given to a GENERAL PROTECTION FAULT with emphasis on the general, so it could be any manner of things...
can you post exactly what it says, other than that it will be a long process of elimination...

I have to apologise to anyone who read my thread and especially MAT ALAN who responed. It seems my daughter was playing games and downloaded it as a screensaver (she should'nt be in hospital long""") sorry again
