Browser problem - ihatepopups

  **7^> 14:09 02 Jun 2004

Hello all,

I have been plagued by popups from click here. The Google toolbar is of no use and Adaware, AVG, Spysweeper, Spybot etc fail to recognise or remove this worm.

I have since removed IE6 and installed Mozilla Firefox which appears to get around the problem, but would like to be rid of the worm all the same.

I'm running XP Home with SP1a on my PC.

Please help in case others have the same problem.

Good news...

AVG suddenly decided that I had the Apropo D worm on my PC, so I healed it. I then ran Adaware which found a Adstartup.exe and may17loader.exe and deleted them from the system.

The easiest thing is to download a different browser like Mozilla Firefox and stop using Internet Explorer.
