Browser Goes To Google Instead Of

  Cybercrow 18:57 25 Jan 2008

Up until this monday (5 days ago) i was able to access click here no problems.
But now whenever i type that address in (or my browser just goes straight to Google Search.

I then click on the links from that search and it comes up with INTERNET EXPLORER CANNOT DISPLAY WEBPAGE.

I have managed to get to amazon via another link, but i can only view one or two pages and then that message comes up again CANNOT DISPLAY WEBPAGE.

I have no problems going to all other sites.
It's just Amazon that i have a problem with.

I have tried deleting cookies and history but still no joy.

Thank you.

Sorry a bit mixed up.Does it do a Google search for Amazon.Or does it go straight to the Google Home Page.If you want to get to Amazon. You could use Firefox until you get this sorted.

Norton Security.
I have tried a full system scan and said all was ok.
I have even tried getting amazon with Norton disabled (still no joy).

Yes... It does a Google search for amazon and comes up with amazon links.
When i click on the links it doesnt go to amazon.

I have heard of Firefox, but don't know what that is...

I rang a pc consultant and he tried to access Amazon via his laptop.

It went straight to Google Search and not the website.
However, he 'did'manage to get a link to Amazon and can view it fine.

A bit of a coincidence...

Although i have deleted amazon under FAVOURITES (in a bid to resolve the matter) i 'did' notice that under Amazon Propertie in Favourites, it said MODIFIED 20/01/08.
Doesn't say WHAT was modified though.

have you d/loaded google search?

  Cybercrow 11:41 26 Jan 2008

Google search is my search engine by default on pc.

You will probably find if it is Norton Internet Security, that it is a problem with your Firewall.Or try turning add-ons off and see if you get it that way.If so turn your add-ons back on one at a time till you find the culprit.Firefox is another Browser,Some like it better than I/E worth trying you might find it a bit faster than I/E.

Google has to search for the web page,So it will go there first,I have no problem getting into Amazon. So I would think Either a Firewall problem[Not configured right]Or an add-on problem.Firefox.No problem having 2 browsers on your computer. If you can't get into anything one one of them just use the other.
