Broadband with XP x64

I can't get either Wanadoo or BT broadband to work on my new AMD XP x64 laptop. What do I have to purchase to get it to work? I have tried both the internal and external modem.

you will need to go to the manufacturers website of the modems you have and see if they have any updated info on x64 drivers.

But wouldn't the internal modem supplied with laptop already have the right drivers?

Other sites are saying I need an ethernet connection. Why is this?

try reinstalling or updating drivers first, bit lost in this department and good info is hard to find

having searched a bit more it seems x64 drivers are only now being made available, speedtouch 17-10-2005 as an example

Just a thought - are you sure it's an ADSL modem, not a regular dialup one in your laptop? I don't think many lappys ship with internal ADSL modems ...
