broadband speeds on a 56k modem

Apparently there is some software/service available for £24.99 per year that enables the above. I seem to remember reading something about it in Internet Advisor. Has anyone got any thoughts on this and is there anyone who has used it. It sounds too good to be true.

The software was tested in one of the PC mags and it seemed to slow down the 56k speed. As usual it would appear to be cobblers. 56k is 56k and nothing will change it. There was a recent discussion on here.

There have been many making claims like this. You cannot exceed the bandwidth capacity of the modem and phoneline you are using. Such claims are false. Don't waste your money.
