Hi - wonder if someone could help please. My frined and I both lose broadband connection when resuming from hibernation - he has ethernet connection to ADSL modem, and I have wireless connection to my ADSL modem/router. This problem seems to be random, only occurring sometimes.
Many thanks.
Robbie.

Yes it does it on my Laptop, must be a Bug in XP. but I use a 3Com PCMCIA card 3Com software so going through the software I normally get it going just by pressing scan

Thanks - I can do that on my laptop, as it's connected wirelessly, but he has a desktop connected by ethernet cable so it won't help him. I think it is an XP bug, but don't know how to get the solution from the MS Knowledge Base.

Only other way it shut down and restart

This is why it does not work for WiFi

power management features such as hibernation might not ... Windows XP Professional supports a broad range of hardware ... devices use a low-power radio signal in the 2.4-GHz band

No IDEA why it does not work on Ethernet.
