Broadband & IP address?

I'm just now signing-up via the net for "ZEN" broadband. Have been offered the choice of, Single/multiple static IP address(es).
I can have 1 or 8 free of charge. If I choose 1 for now, then others will be charged for as I require them!

Not sure just what they are, or if I need them! Can't contact sales by phone until tomorrow. At the moment I have just the one PC for home use, and don't foresee myself networking in the future, any help/advice much appreciated. j.

Why not go for the eight if they are free of charge? At least then you wont have to pay for them if you do decide to network

Thanks for your reply. Is that what they are required for? [Networking] j.

Hi John, multiple static IP addresses are used for networking. They are also handy if you have your own server (email or web) if there free grab em'
