Broadband Fax

  ArrGee 12:55 01 Apr 2007

Hi all, need some pretty quick help please if you peeps don't mind.

Simple question is, what is the best way (if any) to send a fax from my broadband connection?

Cheers all in anticipation.

As far as I know, the only way to send a Fax from a PC, is via an ordinary dial up modem connected to a phone line.

Forgot about e-Fax. I suppose I did not consider it because it costs £7.50/month to subscribe to the service; (after the first free month). If you send lots and lots of Faxes, it might be worth it.

If not, for sending the occasional fax all you pay is the cost of the telephone call, (which rarely exceeds 1 minute). You could use the free Windows XP fax programme, combined with a normal dial up modem.

Thanks all. Looks like broadband can't cross over and emulate a dial tone.
