Broadband Connection At Exchange

  Angry Kid 11:04 21 May 2005

Morning all,

Is anyone able to help me?

Please can someone tell me what changes are made to an ordinary telephone line at the exchange to make it broadband. This issue is puzzling many of my mates and I would like to finally put this discussion to bed.

Is there a web site that explains this in detail.

Any help appreciated :))

Basically a normal line uses an analogue (voltage) signal to transmit your voice down the line.

when a line is BB enadle it is connected to mico chips that pulse digital singals from you to your ISP
