broadband connection

hi, i have just upgraded my pc with a new motherboard and chipset everything works great as expected BUT when i start up i MUST dissconect my ntl broadband connection or else windows does not start up! ANY HELP WOULD BE GRATEFUL?

Reformatting your hard drive and reinstalling your programs would work although you may be reluctant to do that. Whenever I install a new mobo and chip I reformat as a matter of course.

Network card or modem?

Also does your broadband work if you boot your pc and then attach it?

not sure about your problem though but i would be inclined to uninstall correctconnect via add remove programs as this can cause problems.then reinstall the modem again but this time without using the software.its not needed as you will already be registered with ntl.

have you tried turning your cable modem off when you restart and then turning it on after windows has booted up. also as Squall asks, are you conecting via USB or Ethernet???
