Broadband - can't use a 'datastream' provider.

Apparently, we can now get broadband in our remote rural location (EX37). However, our current provider (Tesco) can't upgrade us because the local exchange uses 'data-streaming'. It seems most of the other major providers are the same.

I'm still a bit confused about what this means (in spite of extensive research - and I consider myself reasonably adept at technical stuff on the whole). Does anyone know who I CAN use? Or should I just give up until BT does something about it?

Thanks!

Might be an idea to ask tesco to explain what they mean by "data streaming" if the exchange is set up for BB i cant see why tesco cant supply it.
