Broadband advice

I am thinking of getting broadband. I used to have a BT telephone line before going over to NTL cable. What I want to know is that can I only go for NTL and AOL broadband because I now have cable, or can I use one of the others which use a BT line and somehow have cable for my telephone and a BT line for broadband internet without having an extra bt line installed. Help would be most appreciated.

you will have to have bt line activated,should be free of charge, then ask S/provider to have adsl put on it, will of course incur quarterly line rental (£30-ish) but if you don't use it for calls thats all.
