Hi, just to let you know that I have successfully fitted a Pioneer Dual Layer DVR 108
By the way what does dual layer mean ? Thanks for your help.

It means that it can cope with the discs that have two recorable layers, so that they can store more than 8Gb on a single disc.

A heck of lot to lose if a disc fails :-))

Hi, do you have to buy special discs for that, in prpoerties the ones I have are showing about 4.5 gb.

Yep, they have to be dual layer disks, more expensive at the moment, but will come down in price.
