I downloaded the update patch for COD:WOW game last night (from one of the official mirror sites on the COD website) and found that I had theBRASTK.EXE trojan installed along side it. It hijacked my homepack and redirected IE, after disabling zone alarm.

I have managed to remove most traces of it, but am still aware that it is there doing something. I now find that i cannot update any malware or anti virus programs AVG & Adaware refuse to update insiting there is no internet link. Spybbot refused to load at all, so I uninstalled and downloaded a new version. however, when this comes to the install it also tells me there is no internet connection. Also notice trying to load a couple of sites with virus scans (PCpitstop for instance) they are blocked "internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".

I'm a bit flummoxedby this one, and googling a solution has not come up with anything better than reformatting the HDD. Any help would be appreciated therefore.
