just wondering if there is anyone out there who knows anything about linux, basically im just having a play around with linux to see what its like but i cant get my braodband working or my pci adsl modem to work.if anyone knows how please let me know????
Try looking on this site for drivers for Linux drivers for your modem.click here
i have found what i am looking for its basically (Conexant Accessrunner ADSL PCI) driver for linux red hat 9.0 but the website that all the links for it seems to be shutdown click hereno im stuck ??????????????
then you do not need any driver, connect to router is just the same as plug in any network
the modem is not being detected i dont use a router, just need the drivers for linux thats all.
There is a lot of reading on this URL but it should help you to get up & running.click here
had a look at some of them guides and im a complete novice when it comes to linux.i cant make any sense of it all the trouble is i can follow the guide but there are too many gaps in them assuming i know what im doing but i dont really, so im findin it hard to find a solution???
a router with adsl modem build in can be bought under £40. Does your time worth more than that?
Try this site they will guide you through it.click here
but it all leads back to the same sources i have tried b4 and its all jargon ?????????????
