bought MS Office but trial version already on PC

I'm trying to setup my mum's new PC, so bought her MS Office. Unbeknown to me there is a 60 day trial version already installed. Not wanting to foul up her brand new machine before I even give it her (late Christmas present) will I need to delete the pre-installed version before I load the one I bought?

I don`t use MS Office myself, but as for most software you should be able to activate the copy on the PC.

If the versions are the same, you should be able to insert the activation code from the copy you bought. The option for this is generally under the items in the `Help` tab at the top of the Office screen.

You have to uninstall the 0ffice 2003 trial version before you install the full version
