Bootup error

  Tony W. 03:18 29 Jun 2010

I have a new Acer desktop its about two weeks old.Its been working fine but this morning switched it on and a message came up saying Reboot and select proper boot device or insert disc.I did reboot but it started up normally and I have tried it several times since and each time it starts normally and the message hasn't appeared again.

If anyone can suggest what might have caused this could you please let me know. Also should I contact ebuyer and report the fault.

Thank you.

I have one old PC where this happens quite frequently. I just check the HDD connections and it works OK. Sometimes it corrects itself as you found. This should not be happening on a new PC so you might like to discuss it with the seller.

Looks like a slight error in the boot order which appears to have rectified itself.
