Hi a friend's PC on boot up gives the error message - "Explorer has caused an error in BROWSEUI.DLL Explorer will now close. If you continue to experience problems try restarting the computer". Which on restart gives the same message. The last thing he did was download IE6 from MS website. He's running Windows ME. I've suggested he tries to start in safe mode, but gets do far then message reoccurs. Any of you guys got any ideas?
1. Restart your computer using the Windows Me emergency startup disk. 2. Use the arrow key on your keyboard to select Start Computer Without CD-ROM Support, and then press ENTER. 3. At the prompt type scanreg /fix, and then press ENTER. 4. After the ScanReg process is complete, restart your computer.
