Boot Device

If I transfer the contents of my recovery boot disc to a USB stick should I be able to boot and recover as normal (after resetting the BIOS of course)?

My optical drive is a bit flaky, and ten to one if it goes it'll be when it is most needed!

Thanks, but not sure I need a DOS disc.

I was thinking more of my Acronis boot disc

Can you use the Acronis Media Builder to create an iso image of the Recovery disk and copy it to the USB stick. Not sure iif it will work but I'm going to have a try, seems a useful tool if it works.

Providing the USB stick is formatted in FAT32 then you can use Acronis Media Builder to create a boot stick directly.

I had to set my BIOS to boot from removeable device and the USB Emulation mode to Forced HDD. It worked!
