on board sound card

hi can anyone advise please? i have an onboard sound card i have fitted a new card and want to disable the old one i disabled it in device manager but every time i log on it comes up found new hardware and askes if i want to install it. i went into the bios to see if i could dleate it but i dont know what i.m looking for any help please?

in my bios it is under Integrated Peripherals and listed as HD Audio Controller

You say you went into BIOS. Do it again and on the first page at the top it will have a name like; Phoenix, Award or American Megatrends.

Its normally in the intergrated peripherals section.

Disable onboard audio

As you boot the pc tap away at Delete (the BIOS is often refered to as Setup. If you go into Windows you missed it) There may be a message on your screen as you turn th PC on telling you to use a different key than Delete.

hi sorry for the delay been out all day . the bios is phoenix award but i can't find hd audio controller

the only thing that say audio in intergrated peripherals is azalia audio and that is set to auto

That is what you are looking for. Disable it.
