bluetooth problem

have recently bought a bluetooth dongle to access my motorola phone. when software is loaded, pc will locate the phone ok but cannot interact as it states that " networkcable is unplugged" I don't know what this means. any advice appreciated. running xp. thanks

Bluetooth devices must be 'paired'. You may be getting this message because you haven't selected the dongle on your phone - check the phone's Bluetooth settings when both phone and dongle are active, and you should see the dongle listed. Select it, and the pairing will take place.

have you enabled Bluetooth in the phone?

suspect you need to select bluetooth somewhere in the motorola program on your pc, suspect getting network cable because program thinks you're trying to us a usb cable. bluetooth very tricky

thanks for responses. phone is found by pc and vice versa, and pc is in the phone register.
when the software progresses through, although it will accept the pin registration, it then comes up "comm port intallation failed".
anyone any ideas please?
