Blue Next WiFi Problem

  Tiggy2 11:22 17 Jul 2007

I use a US Robotics Maxg wireless router which connects to my laptop no problem. I've just tried to set up a blue next wi-fi adapter on my desktop. It will connect to the router, but cannot acquire a network address. I've tried all the obvious stuff - turning off anti-virus, firewall, checking and re-entering the WEP key, everything, but it simply won't talk. I think the router should assign the adapter an IP address, and the router is configured to allow all devices, but this doesn't happen. I've been on to the blue next site, and downloaded the latest driver, but that stopped the adapter from working altogether.
I run windows XP, with explorer 7. All relevant security updates and service packs are installed.
Any suggestions?
