Is "Block Sender" any use

  carper 11:04 23 Oct 2007

I receive about 15 Spam E-mails every day and religiously enter them into the Block Sender list but they still come. I have never checked if they are the same senders but I suspect they are. Any comments greatly appreciated Regards Carper

Is put everything you take as "block sender" or "block senders domain" Into the junk mail folder!

It is as you have discovered pretty useless really, as you still have to empty the folder! Just one of Vista's little foibles:)

They may be the same sender, but they rarely if ever use the same e-mail address twice thus rendering block sender a pointless exercise. Best thing to do with OE is to create a mail filter rule that deletes everything with certain key words in the title from the server. The only problem with that is that most of the spam I'm getting now appears with a gibberish title.

Oh well, spam is waffle anyway :)

Thanks for your suggestions. Unfortunatly crosstrainer I don't look on spam as waffle as some of it is offensive even though I don't open it
