My Canon i850 ink-jet has suddenly gone on the `blink` (literally) after approximately 4+ years of faultless service!!The power lamp (between the power and reset buttons on the top panel) constantly flashes and despite disconnecting, USB cable/power cable etc., the printer still fails to operate! Have removed printer from system, re-installed drivers etc., checked for paper jams etc.,but the only result is the `blinking` lamp and no printer!! Windows (XP)recognises the printer but unable to use any of the printer maintenance utilities! Suspect it could be printer head, costing upwards of £30 to £78(on one website) maybe I should buy a new printer?? Solutions would be welcome?Mij
Probably Flashing as a Service Lamp. After so many years you need a new one like me. i still use a Epson 680
the Canon Service Line.I cannot find any Fault Codes in the on-line information for my i850.I shall investigate the on-disk help later today
Try installing the On-disk Manual. There are some error codes there
